TH in 2023

Like a snowball sliding down Mt Baw Baw in June, Talking Hawks is continuing to get better and bigger with each passing content period.

With an expanded team and a growing fanbase (the best in online fan footy media), we thought we will fill you in on what’s coming in 2023, from both a scheduled and unscheduled standpoint.

First, let’s look at the scheduled:

Smithy’s Player Reviews (Monday)

Daz handed over his player reviews to Smithy over the off-season as his role is expanding across TH and judging by Smithy’s first solo review (see below), it’s been left in great hands.

Like Birchall to Scrimshaw, the handover has been awesome and we know that fans will be getting around it during the year.

All 23 Hawks who take part in each game rated, dissected and discussed, with a running tally being kept.

Key Talking Points Podcast (Tuesday)

Two or three of the crew will be in the TH booth to discuss the most pressing matters from the weekend gone by, including highlights, lowlights, reactions and more!

Fan livestreams are still going ahead (see below) so don’t fret Hawks fans, your say is here to stay!

We’ll be hitting up your podcast feeds with our key talking points Tuesday mornings or early afternoons.

Fan Livestream (Wednesday)

Your turn to celebrate, vent, complain and get around the week’s event is here as we run through the past, present and the future of the 2023 season every Wednesday night!

Set your alarms; 8pm Wednesday;s, starting tomorrow (15th of March), get on YouTube and firstly; subscribe.

Secondly, join us, join in and lets chat about the best footy club in the country!

Opposition Analysis & Team Reaction (Thursday)

Hitting yout podcast feeds Thursday nights (or Friday mornings for the drive into work), two or three of the TH crew will be behind the microphones to discuss all things team selection, how to stop the opposition and things to worry about in the upcoming game.

With an opening month of Essendon, Sydney, North Melbourne and Geelong, there will be plenty of optimism hitting the feed in the lead-up to the weekend!

Blast From The Past – Article (Friday)

Smithy re-brings out the quill and ink to discuss a game in particular, an underrated (yes, underrated) clash between the Hawks and their upcoming opponents.

Take Essendon for example; it’s the 1983 premiership reunion and that game is getting all of the attention (justifiably), the Line in the Sand game has been talked about plenty and bringing up 2009 will only incite seething anger.

However, great man Smid will re-expose Hawks fans to some of the classics from yesteryear that you may have forgotten about.

What better way to start a weekend?

There’s also plenty of content that will be being spliced into fans’ footy routine throughout the year. Whilst dates will change throughout the year, we’ll be bringing you:

      • Game Breakdowns

      • Game Trends Articles

      • Player Interviews

      • Box Hill Content

      • AFLW Season Preview

      • AFLW Content

If you’re not a fully fledged member of the Talking Hawks family, you need to be!

Everyone’s welcome and we can’t wait to bring you a massive 2023 as Sam Mitchell and his troops embark on a season to take strides toward the Hawks’ 14th f
